Nokatech FX Pro 1000 LED grow light review

The FX Pro 1000 is the flagship grow light in the extensive Nokatech range.

The fixture cleverly ships in a very compact package minimising shipping costs and only requires a few minutes to assemble. Simply plug in the 8 LED bars into the driver box which connects them electrically and fixes them firmly in place. They are colour coded so there is no risk of connecting them incorrectly.

There are two hanging points at each end of the driver box and at 12.5 Kgs or 27.6 lbs it is a relatively light hanging load for this size of fixture.

There is an onboard dimmer switch to adjust the light output from 40% to 100% in 20% increments. There is also an RJ12 connection at each end for daisy chain or external dimmer control.

The white LEDs are by San'an and output 4000K colour temperature combined with 660nm deep reds by Osram. The overall spectrum output is 3760K and is full spectrum i.e. suitable to grow from seed to harvest. The LEDs are also silicone coated to protect them from dirt and moisture and extend their service life.

The FX Pro 1000 is suitable for a 4ft x 4ft (1.2m x 1.2m) up to a 5ft x 5ft (1.5m x 1.5m) grow area. We tested it in a 5ft x 5ft space with solver mylar walls at 2ft or 60cm hanging height.

Testing the Nokatech FS Pro 1000

We took 100 PAR measurements across the target area and recorded the total power consumed. The PAR map shows the PAR intensity across the target area.

The light spread is excellent and the average PAR intensity is in the high performance level which will maximise the potential yield from your grow space.

Overall this is a high quality fixture, efficiently packaged and delivering a high PAR intensity evenly across its specified grow area.
